Our Pricing
Our little chihuahua babies are raised "under foot" in our home and share every day of our lives. They are loved, cuddled and observed all day, every day. Because they are such a big part of our lifestyle, we can offer you, the prospective "parent" an assessment of their individual personality and temperament.
Our adoption prices start at a reasonable $450 - $1200 depending on the sex, size, coat and conformation of the puppy. We ask for a non-refundable deposit of $200 which guarantees that we will hold your puppy until it is ready to leave us. Once we have chosen your special puppy together based on your lifestyle, you can send your deposit conveniently, safely and securely by clicking on any of the PayPal links on our website.
Shipping
We do occasionally ship our little babies. It's not something we like to do as it is very stressful on the puppies and will not ship any puppy until they are ten to twelve weeks old or at least 2 pounds. When we do ship, we will only ship "counter to counter". This ensures that the puppy travels under optimal conditions in climate controlled areas of the plane and never treated as cargo. Shipping prices vary however, we have found that it typically runs around $250 - $350. This includes the pet carrier, health certificate and more.
Our Guarantee and Replacement Policy
We guarantee our puppies for one year against any genetic defect. Our puppies are vet checked and receive their health certificates before they come home to you. However, in the event that something escapes our watchful eye or that of our vet's, we will replace your puppy (if you choose) with another from a subsequent breeding. We do not refund your adoption fee however, under special circumstances and depending on the severity of the condition, we may refund a portion of your adoption fee to help you with medical care for the puppy.
We require notification from your vet detailing the genetic defect or condition.
We chose our professional caregivers because they are well versed in this tiny breed and its potential health issues. Therefore, if needed, our vet will consult with your vet after we receive your vet's report to determine if the problem with the puppy is indeed a genetic flaw. Following our vet's determination that it is genetic, we will arrange to replace your puppy.
In all of our years in "the canine companion world" we have never had an owner request a replacement puppy. That's simply because we will not offer the puppy to you if we know of a problem. Any puppy that we feel is not sound in body, mind or spirit will not be sold. We will keep the puppy or under absolutely perfect conditions give it to a knowledgable and exceptional home after complete disclosure of the puppy's health condition.
Registration
Our puppies are or can be registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC) or the Continental Kennel Club (CKC) or both. You will be provided with the appropriate paperwork necessary to register your puppy if you choose. There is no additional charge for the application. More on the AKC/CKC debate on our "Of Interest" page.
